Grace + Grit Learning Collective provides individualized academic learning support designed to help students better understand content, apply strategies independently, and rebuild confidence in their learning.

Rather than focusing solely on completion or remediation, this work emphasizes conceptual understanding, skill development, and self-awareness, allowing students to grow into more confident, capable learners. Support is available in Math, Literacy, Science and Social Studies, and Learning Technology.

  • Math

Math challenges often stem from gaps in conceptual understanding—not a lack of ability.

Using the Singapore Math approach (concrete → pictorial → abstract), I work with students to strengthen foundational understanding, develop flexible problem-solving strategies, and build independence in their math thinking.

    Support focuses on:

    Deepening conceptual understanding

    Identifying and strengthening efficient strategies

    Reducing math-related anxiety and avoidance

Building confidence through mastery and clarity

This approach supports learners in moving beyond memorization toward meaningful, transferable math skills

  • Literacy

As an Orton–Gillingham Certified Associate, I bring extensive experience supporting struggling readers in developing fluency, comprehension, and confidence.

Neurodiverse learners process language in unique ways. Academic support is therefore personalized, strengths-based, and grounded in an understanding of how each student learns best.

Through a structured, research-based instructional plan rooted in the Orton–Gillingham approach, students are supported in:

    Developing decoding and encoding skills

    Increasing reading fluency and comprehension

Building metacognitive awareness of their learning style

Reconnecting with reading as a meaningful and achievable task

The goal is not just improved reading performance—but sustainable reading success.

  • Science and Social Studies

    Social Studies & Science Support

In Social Studies and Science, academic challenges often stem from executive functioning demands, rather than content difficulty alone.

    Students may struggle with:

    Sustaining attention during instruction
    Managing large volumes of information
    Organizing written responses
Engaging with material due to motivation or literacy challenges

With deep experience in the Georgia Standards and NGSS frameworks, I support students by explicitly teaching:

Study and organizational strategies tailored to the learner
    Content scaffolding techniques
    Self-monitoring and planning skills
Strategies that make complex material more accessible and engaging

This approach promotes self-awareness, strengthens study habits, and helps students experience success—and enjoyment—in these deeply meaningful subject areas

  • Learning Technology

Today’s classrooms rely heavily on digital platforms, and for many students, technology becomes an unexpected barrier to learning.

    Learning Technology Support helps students:

Navigate required academic platforms with confidence

Improve efficiency with digital tools and workflows

Reduce frustration related to organization, submission, and access

Use technology as a support—not a source of overwhelm

Support is practical, individualized, and directly connected to classroom expectations, helping students become more independent and capable in modern learning environments.

If this feels like a good fit, the next step is a conversation.
